At CT-MRI HealthScan, the planning for our premier facility at the Cornerstone Professional Center in Palm Desert actually spanned three years.  In fact, all-important decisions regarding equipment selection were delayed 12 months until the next-generation 32 slice-per-second CT scanner and the new high field strength ultra short-bore 1.5T Open MRI became available late in 2002.    By special arrangement with the research and development division of Philips Medical Systems,   CT MRI HealthScan became the first West Coast medical center to site both of these powerful new diagnostic  tools in the same facility.
