an outpatient Open MRI center in Palm Desert. Why? Both
sites were founded by our Medical Director, Dr.
Bill Kelly. At each location, we offer access to the best-in-class
technology for Open MRI.
How are these two services different?
HEALTH SCAN IMAGING
Our 1.5T Infinion MRI system is the world’s shortest-bore
high field tube magnet.
For instance, your head and shoulders are
completely out of the magnet bore if we are taking
pictures of your lower back. And it is fast. An entire
examination can be completed in as little as 10
to 20 minutes.
TRULY OPEN MRI
If you prefer the unmatched openness of a “clam
shell” magnet - open on all four sides - then
Truly Open MRI may be the best choice for you.
High quality, crystal-sharp pictures can
be acquired in examination times ranging from
20 to 40 minutes.
Truly Open MRI is more than an acceptable alternative
to the ultra-short bore MRI experience.
Unique technological enhancements and fastidious
attention to scanning protocols help explain the
enormous popularity of Truly Open MRI among patients
and physicians alike.
This past year, in an International contest sponsored
by Philips Medical Systems, Truly Open MRI was
